Tumelo Mogomotsi Psychotherapy & Assessments respects all information shared during the psychological services provided as confidential. The practice is ethically and legally obligated to protect your right to privacy and ensure that personal information disclosed during therapy remains secure. Confidentiality is a fundamental part of our therapeutic relationship and ensure that you may speak openly in a safe and supportive environment.
While confidentiality is strictly maintained, there are circumstances in which disclosure may be required by legal or ethical guidelines. These circumstances may include situations where there is a risk of serious harm to you or others, where abuse or neglect of a minor or vulnerable person is suspected, or where records are required by a court of law. In such cases, this will be discussed with you prior to disclosure, and said disclosure will be limited to the information necessary to address the situation.
This practice adheres to the ethical rules and professional standards established by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Therapy sessions and assessments are scheduled by appointment. Clients are requested to provide 24 hours’ notice if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or appointments that are missed without prior notification, may be charged at the full session fee.
If a client arrives late for a scheduled appointment, the session will still conclude at the originally scheduled time to avoid delays for subsequent appointments. The full consultation fee will remain applicable.

The nature of therapy and assessments requires that personal information which is necessary is collected. such information may include identifying information (such as your name, date of birth, medical aid information, and contact details), relevant medical or psychological history, emergency contact information, and information disclosed during consultations. personal information may also be collected through communication with the practice, completion of intake forms, appointment bookings, or the use of contact forms from this website.
The information collected is solely used for ethical professional purposes, including scheduling appointments, maintaining clinical records, providing psychological assessment and therapeutic services, communicating with clients, processing payments, as well as complying with professional, ethical, and legal obligations.

Access to client information is restricted to the treating practitioner, and authorised individuals were necessary for the best interest of the client.
